SoCo Village Brought Austin Together Through Month of Giving, Supporting Neighbors in Need

SoCo Village Brings Austin Together Through Month of Giving
Residents and team members at SoCo Village Assisted Living and Memory Care gathered donations during the community’s Month of Giving in Austin, TX.

As the holidays drew near, our community, SoCo Village Assisted Living and Memory Care, welcomed residents, families, and neighbors to join our Month of Giving campaign. This two-part donation drive helped support local families and older adults in long-term care across Central Texas, bringing our community together to care for those who need it most.

This effort shows our ongoing commitment to connection, compassion, and giving back. With Stock the Pantry and Spread Cheer for Seniors, we worked together to meet important needs during the holidays.

A Community Effort Rooted in Service

SoCo Village’s Month of Giving was grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins locally. By partnering with trusted organizations such as the Central Texas Food Bank and Austin Allies, the community helped ensure that donations reached those who needed them most.

Melissa Nix, our Executive Director, shared that this initiative truly reflects the caring values of our residents and team members.

“Even small contributions can make a real difference,” said Nix. “Our residents and team were glad to join Austin in supporting neighbors who needed it most.”

We are grateful that our residents found a meaningful way to stay connected with the Austin community through the donation drives. These Month of Giving events also gave families and neighbors an easy way to make a difference during the holiday season.

Experience a Community that Cares

At SoCo Village Assisted Living and Memory Care, we love seeing residents come together through seasonal service projects and hands-on giving. Whether we are collecting food for local families, sharing comfort with seniors in long-term care, or putting together toiletry kits for the unhoused, our Austin community is always finding ways to stay connected to the people and causes that matter most.

SoCo Village is proud to serve South Austin and nearby neighborhoods with assisted living and memory care that centers on connection, purpose, and daily involvement. We invite you to schedule a tour and experience firsthand how our community brings neighbors together through meaningful engagement.
